The Southern California Volleyball Association's Junior Olympic Qualifier was held on the weekend of April 11-13th in Anaheim, California. Encinitas Wave Teams put together an outstanding record going undefeated in match play to qualify to compete in the Junior Olympics to be held in Dallas, Texas in July. USA Volleyballs High Performance Program has selected four WAVE players for their youth program!!
Scott Hartley, Clint Hall and Tom Knapp Cory Wagner were selected in a nation wide try-out who looked at over 400 players!
Wave 16 Jeanne's team is having an amazing season! They started off by winning the 1st SCVA Mandatory tournament, and just won their 2nd mandatory this past weekend. More exciting news, Wave16-Jeanne, won back to back Junior Olympic Qualifiers, first PNQ in Spokane, and then the next week in Anaheim, SCVA qualifier! This is a great group of girls who are playing as a TEAM!!
The Wave Boys side of the Encinitas Wave Volleyball is proud to announce that 4 of our 6 teams will be traveling to Sandy, Utah to compete in the Junior Olympic National Competition.

Wave 16 boys earned their "Open" bid by traveling to the San Jose Qualifier and making the final of the tournament. They lost a hard fought battle to The Santa Monica Boys Club (SMBC) 24-26 in a game to 25 that concluded at 11:45pm!!! This is a big team that is full of talent and plays with a lot of heart and emotion.
